Guided tours

Did you know Utrecht once nearly had a motorway built straight through its historic centre? Or that thousands of bats live under a mysterious UFO-shaped building in the city? These are the kinds of stories you won't find in any guidebook. We are Bram, Julian, Marta, Mirte, Koen, Maxime, Rikke, Julian and Holly. By day we work as a journalist, educator, facilitator and more. In our spare time, we take you through the city we love. That's not a marketing line, it's simply why we do this: because Utrecht keeps surprising us, and we want to share that. On this 5.5 km walking tour, we take you through the lesser-known side of the city centre, alongside the canals, through quiet courtyards, past street art, and up to the iconic Dom Tower. No rushed commentary, no headsets, no crowds. Just a small group, good stories, and a city that rewards those who look closely. After the walk, stay for an optional Dutch lunch. We'll point you to the best spots and make sure you leave Utrecht with more than just photos. What makes this tour different: - Guides who do this for the love of it, not as a day job - Maximum small group size for real personal attention - Stories you won't hear anywhere else - Optional lunch or drinks at a local favourite restaurant - Flexible booking, pay nothing today Looking for something more exclusive? We also offer private tours for couples, families, or small groups who want a guide entirely to themselves, at their own pace and on their own schedule.
