Your journey begins on a peaceful farm in the area. Before setting off, your guide will lead a short workshop, introducing you to the donkeys and explaining their habits, nature, and the centuries-old bond they share with humans. You’ll learn about their personalities — calm, intelligent, affectionate — and discover how to approach, lead, and communicate with them in a respectful way. This introduction helps you understand what makes donkeys so special. Once essential companions for farmers and travelers, they are patient, loyal animals with a natural rhythm that invites us to slow down. Spending time with them means reconnecting with nature at its purest pace. After getting to know your four-legged partner, you’ll set off for a guided walk through the olive tree orchard, covering about three hectares of beautiful Tuscan landscape. The path winds gently among silver-green olive branches, stone walls, and the soft rolling hills that frame the Florence countryside.Walking side by side with your donkey, you’ll find the experience surprisingly meditative — each step creating a quiet connection between you, the animal, and the land. The guide will be with you at all times, sharing stories about donkey life, sustainable farming, and the traditions that have shaped this region for generations. This is not a hurried tour but a mindful stroll — a chance to breathe, observe, and feel the texture of Tuscany’s rural life. The farm is a place where nature, animals, and people live in balance, following a philosophy of integrity, sustainability, and respect for all living things. At the end of your walk, you’ll gather to enjoy a tasting of the estate’s organic extra virgin olive oil, served with fresh bread made from ancient grains. The oil is produced right here, using traditional cold-pressing methods that preserve its natural aromas and flavor. It’s the perfect way to close a morning or afternoon immersed in the land’s beauty and simplicity.Whether you are traveling as a couple, with family, or alone, this experience offers something rare: a moment to slow down and truly connect. You’ll leave not only with memories of the Tuscan landscape but also with a deeper understanding of these gentle animals and the people who care for them.
